Randstad is partnering with this industry leader to help them find a HR Generalist for a position in the fast growing market of Brooklyn Heights, OH!
The HR Generalist will be helping write and edit Job Descriptions. Also while working with the Job Descriptions, this position will be helping with the Compensation roles performed by the HR team.

Conducts classification reviews and job audits. Composes and revises position descriptions, accurately describing job content; consolidating and streamlining as appropriate.
Completes position evaluation/classification process by researching and analyzing data and assigning appropriate salary grade, job code, title, pay, union, and FLSA status. Ensures corresponding classification and position data are entered timely and accurately within the human resource information system (HRIS).
Performs quality control on job descriptions and other functionally relevant documents posted on the MetroHealth Intranet (MIV) and within the HRIS. Ensures timely update and/or removal of related documents from MIV and HRIS.
Researches and analyzes salary data; making recommendations regarding appropriate placement of classifications on salary schedules.
Reviews and makes salary recommendations for new hires, internal promotions, reclassifications, and other personnel actions.
Ensures consistency, internal equity and external market competitiveness of requested actions/recommendations as well as compliance with compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Participates in, conducts, and/or responds to salary and wage surveys, market reviews, and pay compression studies as required; analyzing data and making corresponding salary adjustment recommendation.
Assists in updating salary structure(s) and step systems.
Participates in the preparation and review of data for system-wide or classification-wide general or equity salary adjustments.
Ensures related program materials are updated on an annual basis (i.e. agreements, communication).
Verifies proper completion of agreements and related forms. Approves and processes payments. Scheduling installments and monitoring system for future dated payments, following up on approvals, ensuring timeliness, and verifying need for continued payment.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
1-3 years of experience in Human Resources.
Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including designing and building spreadsheets.
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with an ability to organize and summarize data, and make recommendations.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with department heads, managers, employees, and members of the HR team.
Ability to manage multiple communications, projects, objectives, and deadlines.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines consistently.
One year of compensation experience.
Experience with Infor GHR or Lawson HRIS system.
Familiarity with Access/databases; pivot tables, graphics, and reports.
Participation/completion of a professional certification program within the Human Resource field.
