Job Description

As the HR Generalist Primal Kitchen, you will provide both tactical and strategic HR support for Primal Kitchen, a Commercial Business Unit of Kraft Heinz. Based out of the Oxnard, California warehouse and office, you will provide support on all people related processes and data, including recruitment and selection, employee career events, employee relations, and compliance as it relates to all Primal Kitchen employees. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer of Primal Kitchen, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Associate Director, People and Performance of Kraft Heinz.

Responsibilities

  • Primary HR support for all on-site and remote Primal Kitchen for employees

  • Super-user of Applicant Tracking System and internal HR Systems including Headcount Management System (Workday), Payroll (Ceridian) and internal portals

  • Provide advice and counsel to management and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices

  • Maintain employee data and ensure data accuracy

  • Responsible for processing all people moves for Primal Kitchen

  • Supports the HR team to ensure regulatory compliance in all aspects of HR including up to date EEO programs and compliance records are kept up to date and accurate

  • Maintain all employee and applicant documentation as required by Kraft Heinz policy and governing agencies

  • Primary contact for employee relations, including investigation, resolution and communication

  • Partner with client group and People & Performance team on workforce planning, annual reviews, compensation administration, and pipeline development

  • Collaborates with and supports the Associate Director, People & Performance for Kraft Heinz with Primal Kitchen People related projects and initiatives as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience in a generalist capacity

  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis and Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize competing demands

  • Professionalism and discretion with confidential information is paramount

  • Knowledge of Federal and State laws applicable to wages, hours, working conditions, safety, labor relations, etc. to ensure compliance with state and federal legal requirements

  • Ability to balance role as employee advocate and business partner while maintaining neutrality and credibility with the organization

Understands details of benefit and insurance plans related to the PEO co-employer relationship. * Advises the client on issues regarding Section 125, healthcare, and retirement plans with assistance from other areas within the HRS division. * Partners with Sales and Operations to ensure client satisfaction. * Conducts initial Service Assessment to determine client needs.
