Based in the Galveston, Texas area, this temporary-to-fulltime HR Assistant position is a terrific opportunity for someone looking for long term employment. How you will make an impact

  • Manage employee database records

  • Research the internet to discover potential customers

  • Oversee office and administrative tasks

  • Organize new employee on-boarding orientation methods


  • Familiar with office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) - Knowledge of insurance claims

  • HR (Human Resources) experience

  • Approachable and appropriate demeanor when interacting with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing environment

  • Prior experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

  • At least 5+ years of HR related experience desired

  • Experience with a company that employs Offshore Personnel

  • Vessel or Offshore services

  • Experience with Jones Act Issues

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects

MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE Responsible for overall management of the store, staff, merchandise and customer service. The Store Manager is also responsible for driving his or her team to achieve sales objectives, maintaining and achieving high operational and merchandizing standards and goals, building highly motivated teams and developing associates to the next level.
