HR Generalist

What you can expect?

As our HR Generalist, you will have front row access to and functional responsibilities for onboarding, employee relations, policy & procedures, compensation, employee development and other special projects that are at the foundation of creating a positive work environment. You'll support the HR Business Partner(s) on these efforts and this role is often the training ground for our future HR Business Partners.

You'll work closely with a Senior HR Business Partner to help support the employees and managers within our Digital, Data & Analytics, Affinity and Insurer Consulting teams which offers a unique combination of global reach and specialized expertise with core capabilities in underwriting, technology, distribution and capital. The employee population size is approximately 200 people. You'll be a critical member of the team often acting as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, progressive counseling and data analysis to identify key trends to help shape our people strategy.

We'll count on you to:

  • Provide support to HR Business Partners in the areas of talent acquisition, management coaching, performance management, time and attendance, and other special projects.

  • Proactively implementing a variety of HR initiatives designed to ensure a positive and productive work environment.

  • Support leaders with the processing of HR transactions including new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, etc.

  • Prepare various H.R. reports (ad hoc and regularly scheduled) from various HR systems or resources, analyzes data and prepares summary quantitative and qualitative analyses for dissemination.

  • Assist in the year end compensation process and performance review program.

  • Manage sensitive and confidential employee relations matters, organizational changes, planning and protecting the security of information.

  • Respond to various queries from managers and employees.

  • Exercise individual judgment while dealing with potential employee issues and bringing them to management's attention.

  • Conduct research, gathering data and information, in analyzing statistical information for report generation.

  • Participate in staff training and programs and recommends additional resources as needed.

  • Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.

What you need to have:

  • 3 - 5 years of work experience in Human Resources as a Generalist or Coordinator.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Able to provide support to employees and managers who are not co-located with the colleague.

  • Understanding of relevant employment laws

  • Experience dealing with large sets of employee data
