The Cypress is recruiting for a hospitality focused Human Resources Generalist. This is a full-time on-site position working closely with the Director of Human Resources to ensure all areas of HRIS data management and employee benefits meet state and federal guidelines. Responsible for maintaining HRIS systems, administration of employee benefit plans, and full lifecycle talent acquisition. This role will be responsible for adhering to standardized processes, executing The Cypress' best practices, and adhering to our overall talent acquisition strategy, and has a heavy emphasis on HRIS and ATS.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of the HR Generalist:

  • Owns full cycle recruiting process. Including but not limited to:

  • Consults with department managers and supervisors to assess recruiting needs

  • Sources and recruits new employees

  • Coordinates interviews

  • Pre-screens and onboards all new hires

  • Enters and maintains all new hire entries into HRIS

  • Maintains reporting standards and compliance

  • Coordinates and leads new hire onboarding, acting as the first point of contact for new employees.

  • Assists with maintaining the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure accurate record keeping.

  • Maintain positive, collaborative and proactive relationships with candidates and employees, to maintain business-relevant, strong working relationships, in alignment with the Extraordinary Impressions Hospitality Promises.

  • Assist with managing monthly talent reporting metrics.

  • Ability to meet hiring goals, improve employee retention, and assist in the facilitation of employee engagement to drive performance.

  • Maintains payroll records, and updates employee information accordingly to meet payroll deadlines. Compile and maintain records for use in payroll and benefits administration.

  • Coordinates maintenance of benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, terminations, COBRA, 401(k) enrollments, deferrals, monthly billing reconciliations, etc.

  • Assists in preparing and delivering communications for leave of absence and ADA requests.

  • Maintains employment compliance posters, employee licensure and employee medical files. Notifies employees, supervisors and Director of Human Resources of upcoming licensure expirations for continued compliance.

  • Assists in carrying out Human Resources programs and policies on campus.

  • Assists with employee relations. Serves as representative for employees and acts in a conciliatory role concerning employee grievances, conferring with and counseling employees regarding personnel policies and procedures, benefits, employee relations, and work related, personal and professional concerns.

  • Assists in the facilitation of employee engagement to drive performance and improve employee retention.

  • Assists with various research projects and/or special projects.

  • Files and maintains personnel records in compliance with company policies, and federal and state laws.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field or a combination of education and experience.

  • 2+ years experience in a Human Resources position required.

  • 2+ years full-cycle recruiting experience and proven success required recruitment in healthcare or senior living industry.

  • Excellent communication and organization skills with ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Strong experience with HRIS systems applications, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite products. Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud a plus!

  • Highly analytical thinker and problem solver with ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize tasks/assignments.

  • Reliability and dependability a must.

  • Attention to detail.

Annual compensation starting at $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
