Our client, a privately held organization in Flourtown, PA is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team! The HR Generalist is responsible for performing Human Resources related duties in a professional and collaborative manner. Works closely with the HR Department, Payroll Department, Third Party vendors and various levels of employees and management to ensure HR programs and services support and drive business objectives. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities and supports the HR Director in the following functional areas: 401(k) Plans; Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, benefits, performance management, compensation, recruitment and retention strategies and programs and policies/procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 401 (k) Plans: Lead role in coordinating and facilitating all 401(k) related functions. Ensures timeliness and accuracy of required reporting; responds to 401(k) inquiries from all levels of employees relating to enrollment, plan changes, rollovers, loans, etc. Organizes and maintains necessary information for annual external audit and co-facilitates the external annual audit process. Keeps abreast of legal requirements and government reporting regulations. Ensures required mailings are distributed in accordance with regulation requirements. Provides expert administration of 401(k) Plans

  • Serves as HR liaison with the Healthcare sites for 401(k) Plan, H&W benefits, general HR issues

  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies & procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbooks and the policies & procedures manual

  • Manages recruiting processes. Recruits, interviews & facilitates the hiring of qualified candidates; collaborates with departmental mangers to understand skills & competencies required for openings. Responsible for tracking all recruiting statistics.

  • Reconciles and processes monthly self- insured medical premiums for Non-Health Care & Health Care companies

  • Maintains Affirmative Action Program; files EEO-1 report annually; Veterans Annual Filing and other required reports according to union contracts.

  • Facilitates/conducts investigations on selected employee relations issues; coaches, counsels, and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions; Tracks all employee disciplinary action

  • HRIS Administration: manage data integrity; creates/compiles standard/customized reports; process improvements; system maintenance

  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliant

  • Oversees & facilitates New Hire Orientation

  • Conducts training sessions will all levels of employees

  • Maintains job description files

  • ACA Compliance (maintain spreadsheets; communications; enrollment processes)

  • Unemployment Compensation: Analyzes and generates meaningful reports to managements and recommendations for improvements. Works directly with the Account Manager to facilitate training, etc.

  • Ensure proper implementation and execution of HR programs and initiatives as need

  • Develops & maintains positive relationships with plan administrators, financial advisors, benefits brokers & other service providers & vendors.

  • Performs other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management; Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience; minimum 10 years of progressive HR Generalist roles with an employee base of 500+ employees and complex business model

  • 3-5 years of 401(k) administration/compliance

  • Strong understanding of 401(k) plan administration and legal compliance (ERISA; DOL; IRS)

  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills

  • Thorough knowledge of H& W administration, ACA regulations, 125 Plans; Knowledge of benefits contract language

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, problem-solving, and project management skills

  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Medicare, COBRA, ACA, and Social Security and DOL requirements

  • Understanding of EEO, ADEA, Title VII, Warren Act and other local state and federal laws as it pertains to employer relationships.

  • Effective relationship management skills with proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Capable of effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Strong PC proficiency and technical aptitude with MS Office; HRIS systems, to include report analysis and creation

  • Strong Excel skills (spreadsheet knowledge, formulas, formatting, data manipulation, etc.)

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to interact with all levels of employees

  • Ability to facilitate training sessions and new hire orientations

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS systems (to include the self-serve company portal)

  • PHR Certification a plus
