Salary:$75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year, depending on experience.

Typical Schedule is Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm. There will be some variation in hours based on company needs (e.g.: occasional 6am meetings).

HR Generalist Expectations

  • This is a new position at Fania Roofing and you'll work hand-in-hand with leadership to craft winning HR and recruiting strategies.
  • You will juggle multiple tasks, projects and responsibilities as the HR Generalist for Fania Roofing.
  • We will look to you to streamline the hiring process and implement recruitment strategies.
  • As a fast growing company, we have an ongoing need to hire roofers- you will be responsible for sourcing and hiring field labor and other positions to meet our growth goals.
  • You will build, develop and nurture candidate relationships, as well as relationships with organizations that provide recruiting opportunities.
  • You will collaborate with the Management Team to set and achieve strategic initiatives.
  • It will be your responsibility to maintain employee files and handle new hire essentials.
  • We will rely on you to manage the safety program and the leadership development program.
  • You will ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws as well as Fania’s HR policies and procedures.
  • You’ll be collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders, including employees, leadership and candidates. You must be comfortable interacting with people via email, in-person and on the phone.
  • You’ll be solving issues quickly and efficiently, adapting to changes to ensure the candidate and employee experience is excellent, while being mindful of professional boundaries.
  • When challenges arise, maintain a positive attitude and a calm demeanor as you work towards a solution.

HR Generalist Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years’ HR Generalist experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or similar is preferred
  • Recruiting and/or Hiring experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience using Payroll systems and/or HRIS
  • SHRM-CP or similar certification is preferred
  • Familiarity with the construction industry is a plus!
