Job Functions / Responsibilities
Engages and supports managers as a trusted advisor to be accountable for driving high performing teams, and development of their people through clarity of leader expectations and what constitutes authentic and inspiring leadership
Assists in delivering the alignment of people and culture strategies with business priorities to enable business performance and the execution of talent strategies to achieve a highly capable and engaged workforce
Guide managers in effectively using the tools and processes available to maximize employee performance, achieve organizational effectiveness, improve employee engagement, and ensure legal compliance
Works in a collaborative manner with HR team to provide uniform interpretation and application of policies, practices and procedures
Facilitates training on new processes, leadership skills and change management initiatives
Supervises and develops the office services team (2 people)
Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for continuous improvement
Develops innovative and fun employee events that drive employee engagement, increases productivity, and improves morale and retention
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.

Build positive employee relations with proactive employee communication, prompt issue resolution, and fair and equitable treatment. This includes support of local and corporate programs to promote employee goodwill and positive morale
Effectively interview and recruit candidates for key positions
Assist with the new employee orientation program
Administer FMLA and other leaves of absences
Lead the division safety committee and wellness initiatives
Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements
Bachelor's degree in business related discipline or human resources required
Experience in a HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role (ideally 5+ years) with a broad depth of experience across the employee life cycle, with a particular focus on supporting great team performance, IT industry experience a plus
Experience with regulatory compliance with EEOC, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, and other state or federal laws required
Demonstrated ability to move from strategic thinking to hands on implementation
Supervisor or team leader experience preferred
Proven experience working with managers in an "influence-without authority" role and becoming a trusted advisor
Proven experience in managing multiple projects with strong prioritization skills
Demonstrated strong facilitation and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and get work done in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills (research, independent thinking, decision making, good judgment)
Highest standards of confidentiality along with strong skills in conflict resolution, influencing, and problem solving
PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification strongly desired
Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
Must be able to handle and prioritize a demanding workload in a fast-paced environment
Excellent PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint required, SAP and SharePoint a plus
Demonstrated ability to work within and through organization using influence and people management skills
Must demonstrate the ability to build and manage relationships with all levels of the organization
