This position is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with Senior HR Management in supporting designated geographic regions and government based contracts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for operational and technical personnel duties to include computer data entry and file maintenance.

  • Updates employee database(s) as necessary, to include personnel transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations for employees.

  • Assists employees with personnel information and interpretation of policies and procedures.

  • May assist with or lead presentations such as New Hire Orientation.

  • Liaison between HR, Benefits, and Payroll for personnel actions.

  • Compiles data from personnel records and prepares reports as directed.

  • Works closely with other HR Generalists and assists with department projects and training.

  • Assists HR Directors and Vice President with continuous improvement of the HR Team.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all personnel information and records.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

  • Four years of experience in HR related field required.

  • Proficiency with MS Office required. Experience with HRIS Deltek Costpoint and ADP preferred.

  • PHR Certification a plus.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion.

  • Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process.

  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, however, some extended or weekend hours may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
