HR Generalist

Job Title: HR Generalist -

Job Summary:

The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources functions at a K-8 Independent school. This role will involve recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations. The HR Generalist will play a vital role in fostering a positive work environment and supporting the school's mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.

• Coordinate new employee onboarding and orientation programs.

• Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, claims handling, and communication.

• Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies, procedures, and programs.

• Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.

• Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, attendance records, and leave requests.

• Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.

• Assist in the development and delivery of HR training programs.

• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a school or education setting.

• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly in the education sector.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Proficiency in HR software
