Job Title: HR Generalist

Reports To: Director, Human Resources
Location: Twinsburg, OH
The Human Resource Generalist will be responsible for managing the administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following areas: employee relations, recruitment, training and development, compensation, organizational development and employment.
Assist with the development and administration of programs, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
Maintain employee-related databases. Prepares and analyzes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and the company. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested.
Manages the recruitment process for exempt and nonexempt employees using the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.
Conducts the recruiting planning meetings when staffing needs are identified.
Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
Helps to monitor the organizations culture so that it supports the attainment of the companys goals and promotes employee satisfaction.
Conduct new employee orientations and exit interviews.
Conduct job analysis and develop job descriptions for all job levels within the organization.
Consult with the leadership team, managers and hourly personnel to enhance employee performance, improving leadership skills, and implementing HR related processes/procedures.
Support the Director of Human Resources in employee training, development, and performance management.
Participate in employee investigations and ensure appropriate outcomes and follow-up.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal and professional networks, and visiting bench-marking organizations. Support and lead individual and organizational continuous learning culture and process
Performs other related duties as assigned by manager.

This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Regular attendance is expected and required. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related major is required; an MBA is preferred.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of HR generalist experience
Must be a hands on professional with proven experience in employee relations, leadership development, training, performance management, compliance, communications, staffing, compensation and benefit administration.
General knowledge of employment laws and practices.
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
