Job Description
Applying business knowledge and human resources expertise, the HR Generalist will provide a broad range of HR support to site operations in the areas of employee relations, recruitment, employee training/development, record maintenance, benefits administration, and policies/procedures/programs support. Responsible for coordination and administrative support for key HR functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Demonstrate positive and successful interactions and interpersonal relations so that productivity and positive employee relations are maximized.
Work with the Operations team to enhance the hiring, onboarding and exit process
Take lead accountability for the recruitment process at the site, including job posting, resume screening, and participating in interviews as needed.
Administer various human resource plans and procedures.
Assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
Onboard all new employees and work with other HR team members to initiate background checks, drug screenings, process I-9 via E-verify, etc.
Communicate and support policies and procedures.
Accurately maintain Human Resource Information System records and compile reports from database.
Demonstrate positive and successful interactions and interpersonal relations so that productivity and positive employee relations are maximized.
Support and engage the culture of Harsco Environmental in alignment with core values and mission statement.
Collaborate with the HR team in the development, implementation, and communication of policies, procedures, programs, and activities to increase productivity and employee satisfaction.
Manage intake of requests from employees to Human Resources Department and allocate workflow appropriately to team members.
Partner with leaders at multiple levels and their teams to develop and execute HR initiatives.
Act as liaison between employees and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations.
Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
Experience
3+ years progressive experience in Human Resources.
Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education or Experience
SPHR or PHR Certification.
Interpersonal Skills
Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
Demonstrated ability to improve employee morale
Detail-oriented, organized, deadline-driven
Technical Skills
High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint
Experience using an ATS
Familiarity with Oracle and Kronos
Metrics and data driven
Must be able to interpret and speak with data
Other Skills
Ability to effectively plan and organize
