This is a Hybrid role based out of our Cary, NC Office - working onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays
The Corporate HR Generalist works in concert with the Corporate HR Team to advance our people and organization strategy across our Corporate Functions and Operations Excellence teams. This role will manage onboarding and offboarding for Corporate and Operations Excellence employees, serve as the HR systems and process owner for the Corporate HR team and help provide day-to-day HR business partner support to our Legal, Marketing and Strategy functions, in partnership with the Director, Corporate HR. Occasional travel to manufacturing sites and team meetings may be required.
The ideal candidates will have HR experience in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational skills, strong communication and critical thinking skills. This position offers a great opportunity for someone to come in and drive efficiency and effectiveness in the Corporate HR processes and practices while continue to develop their business partner skill set.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with hiring managers, HR Managers, and Talent Acquisition on coordinating recruiting efforts for respective client groups, including validating proper approvals, status of open requisitions and new hire pre-start activities and communications
Ensures a positive employee experience by serving as lead in partnering with Hiring Managers to deliver pre-start activities (ordering equipment, completing Induction plans), orientation, facilitating 30-60-90-day check-ins and supporting identified engagement initiatives as aligned to by the Corporate HR team
Owns HRIS transactions in Dayforce, in support of Director, Corporate HR
Understands and utilizes HRIS system to assist with reporting on various workforce data and trends, while managing periodic data integrity reviews and required updates related to Career Framework (Plant Manager tiers, STIP plan alignment, etc.)
Serves as leave of absence (FMLA, ADA, etc) point of contact, providing status updates to Corporate HR team on employee leave requests and coordinating follow-ups for employees as requested by 3rd party administrator
Manages the employee off-boarding process, including conducting exit interviews, explaining payroll/benefits implications, facilitating return of company assets and property, and IT changes
Act as a resource to both managers and team members by offering support and guidance regarding company policies and practices
Participates and/or leads first-level employee relations investigations activities, in partnership with Director, Corp HR and HR Managers
Provide project management and administrative support, coordination, and planning efforts for local activities in office, where requested
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business, or related field required
At least 2 years experience in Human Resources
Experience and proficiency with HRIS or HCM related systems
Experience and proficiency in Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Manufacturing or related industry experience is preferred
