Brief summary of role:
Reporting to the EMEA People Director, the HR Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the EMEA People Ops function and supporting projects associated with the EMEA workforce.
What you'll be doing:
Day to Day People Operations activities:
Support People team to answer day to day HR related employee queries via all platforms including Zendesk and Slack
Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes and workflows for EMEA
Immigration administration including working with external legal counsel to gather the appropriate documents required
Create and issue letters and contract addendums for any employee job changes
Maintain accurate employee data integrity and compliance in global HR systems/tools
Payroll, Leave & Benefits administration:
Submit monthly payroll changes and updates in Papaya/other payroll software
Escalate payroll related questions to payroll team/external payroll provider
Manage benefits administration, ensure any policies/processes are kept up to date and be able to manage general questions from employees
Manage EMEA employee time off policies (holiday, sick and parental) including tracking requests and owning any reporting for payroll as necessary
Employee Relations:
Provide general first line of support to employees/managers and ensure People Director/People BP's are kept informed of any employee related issues or concerns
Stay up to date and continue to grow regional knowledge on local employee legislation and regulations
Support the People Director with maintaining company policies and practices to ensure alignment with legal standards
We are looking for someone with:
3+ years working in an administrative or generalist HR role, preferably in a fast moving, growing and changing IT/Technology environment
Proficiency in HRIS tools and Google Suite
Experience of working with outsourced global payroll providers
Familiarity with HR related matters for EMEA countries including but not limited to Spain, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands and Finland
Ability to complete tasks independently and using own initiative
Detailed oriented, excellent organization and coordination skills
Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface with all levels of the organization and collaborate cross-functionally
Experience of working in a global team
Desired language skills: French or Dutch
Nice to have:
Previous experience working with Papaya and/or Factorial
Experience working in SaaS/start-up tech companies
