HRVP is a growing consulting and professional services company with a unique career opportunity. Were looking for a pragmatic, solutions focused HR Professional with manufacturing experience to join our team (experience in additional industries a plus, though not required). As our HR Generalist you will be critical to maintaining the company's brand image and retaining clients for the long term. You'll be the front line representative of our business to our client base and will single-handedly resolve client issues in a manner which leaves them feeling confident and allows them to accomplish their business objectives. This will require that you have confidence in your decision making ability and the knowledge/flexibility required to implement your decisions.

As our HR Generalist, a day in the life might look like:

  • Consulting with our Sales Director to develop strategies/proposals for new business opportunities
  • Taking calls/e-mails from retained-services clients and providing guidance so they can act with confidence
  • Working onsite with those clients
    • Performing administrative tasks necessary to keep the function in order
    • Addressing employee concerns/questions as necessary
    • Scoping, planning and implementing strategic initiatives in support of client company objectives
  • Conducting project work for a-la-carte clients
  • Projects for any client may be related to:
    • Enlisting talent - recruiting, employment branding, etc.
    • Engaging talent - onboarding, orientation
    • Enlarging talent - performance management, succession planning, etc.
    • Enriching talent - compensation, benefits, employee involvement, etc.
    • Compliance and employee retention

Some requirements well need from you:

  • Be a master influencer and relationship builder!

  • Track record of setting and meeting goals and deadlines (and the ability to give some examples)

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to remain cool, calm and positive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • A professional image and attitude

  • Ability to comfortably and assertively lead business leaders through an HR problem solving process

  • Equally comfortable working with front line employees as well as business executives and all layers in between

  • Sufficient knowledge/comfort with labor regulations so as to avoid creating liability for HRVP and our clients
