We're looking for a talented Human Resources Generalist to join the onsite HR team in the

Richmond, CA fulfillment center. To support our rapidly growing company, thesuccessful candidate must be an organized team player who is able to managemultiple priorities at once. They will be immersed in all things related to ouremployees, and will support HR initiatives, projects, and programs.


  • Actively pursue knowledge of business practices, policies, roles and responsibilities to better understand the business

  • Partner with HR Management to resolve employee relations issues; provide coaching and counseling to employees and operations leadership

  • Build relationships with staff at all levels

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to operations leadership on policies and procedures

  • Assure that new employees integrate effectively into the organization

  • Host New Hire Orientation and assist in onboarding new employees and set clear performance expectations

  • Lead and implement special projects, corporate projects and cyclical HR events such as open enrollment, and performance reviews

  • Onboarding new employees and setting clear expectations


  • You've worked in an environment with hourly employees in an HR support role

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of Human Resources experience in a distribution, operations, creative, retail, or brand-focused environment

  • You understand the basics of employment law and California employment laws

  • You're willing to work flexible hours on occasion, including nights and weekends, as needed to support operations

Work closely with customers to assure timely and satisfactory completion of work requirements and contract obligations. Successfully resolve questions and/or disputes with customer. * Review and submit timecards timely and accurately. * Submit to the assigned Manager projected annual budget for supplies, equipment and subcontract requirements and manage within approved budgets. * Purchase supplies and equipment. * Hire, terminate, discipline, and retrain/coach staff. * Implement an on-going training program, to improve the work skills of employees. * Conduct one on ones timely and accurately. * Report all critical personnel issues immediately. * Resolve personnel issues effectively and timely; partner with HR as necessary. * Manage employee time and attendance including but not limited to: attendance, work schedules, etc. * Maintain a labor pool of on-call employees based upon contract needs and requirements. Utilize on-call employees as necessary and approved. * Conduct all personnel management functions within legal guidelines including, but not limited to, wage and hour law, affirmative action standards, Department of Labor regulations and occupational safety and health requirements. * Conduct tours and speaking engagements as required. * Maintain positive business rapports with customers, employees, vendors and subcontractors. * Attend meetings and submit reports as directed in a timely and accurate fashion. * Attend appropriate conferences, workshops and training to upgrade and/or maintain all skills required for the position. * Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with the corporate health and safety program and policies of OSHA and CalOSHA. * Must be in regular attendance and punctual.
