The HR Field Leader is a dedicated 'boots on the ground' champion for employee support in our stores. This role serves alongside the HR Business Employees as the sales regional contact and liaison for HR program implementation, employee coaching & development, and Petco Transformation initiatives. The HR Field team is responsible for executing various leadership development and advancement tools while also displaying high energy and a passion for people. They will work alongside the HR team to implement programs to ensure the best employee experience.
Essential Job Functions:
Employee with field HR leadership in the development and execution of HR programs and strategic initiatives
Work alongside the Talent Management team to execute coaching, competency, performance, and career development programs for the retail teams
Serve as a frontline coach to employees and leaders for their development and growth
Support the retail leadership selection process, and develop field leader capabilities to onboard, develop, lead, and inspire their teams to elevate our employee experience and impact business results; make recommendations to hire, advance, promote, or perform other changes of employment status for employees
Help develop and execute onboarding processes and curriculum for retail roles
Engage with the Retail Transformation team to promote INTENT selling behaviors and to aid in store redesign to ensure organizational alignment
Help develop and maintain proper staffing plans for stores, proper scheduling to meet store needs, and succession plans are created
Communicate HR expectations and share best practices from top performing stores to elevate performance. Develop action plans to impact results
Leverage Voice of the Employee insights to assist in developing District and Store Action Plans
Employee with the field to ensure a successful implementation of our Performance Management process (goal setting, quarterly check-ins, career development plans, merit and incentives)
Provide real-time feedback to HRBPs and retail leaders on immediate performance concerns
Independently prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
Special projects, as assigned
Potential travel required to support field efforts
Ability to lead cross functionally with no direct reports.
Continuous mobility throughout stores daily
Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. daily
Stoop, kneel and crouch daily

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred
3+ years of professional HR, employee development or leadership coaching experience, preferably in a retail setting
HR or coaching credentials preferred
