What we are looking for:
The Human Resources Director will partner with the leaders of the Commercial businesses across North America to develop and drive a commercially aligned human capital strategy that prepares the workforce for high performance and best supports the strategic objectives of the business. The HR leader will diagnose and solve barriers to organizational effectiveness and high performance, take proactive steps to promote employee engagement, and partner directly with senior leaders to develop and drive human capital strategies that help grow the business, and are aligned to the global corporate culture and HR strategies.
This role is based in the Mountainview, California area and leads a team of Business Partners to support 400+ employees in various locations across the US and Canada.
What you will do:
Contribute to the overall strategy, transformation, management and development of the business through leading a people agenda that is aligned to the company and the commercial businesses' needs
Champion, lead and drive a continuous improvement culture that enables sustainable, profitable business growth
Be a part of the global HR Leadership Team to develop strategies and ensure a consistent application of talent management, performance management and leadership succession planning principles; develop a culture of regular feedback
Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure that recruitment and onboarding processes are in alignment with best practices to attract talent in the most competitive markets.
Partner with Leadership Development to assess departmental needs and deliver employee training and development.
With the team, manage all human capital aspects of mergers + acquisitions
Partner with Corporate Compensation, Commercial Operations and Finance to develop sales compensation plans that incent behaviors aligned with corporate goals; ensure all compensation strategies are market competitive, pay for performance, and in line with company principles.
Develop and drive an integrated, high-performance Teladoc Health culture, rooted in the Company's values
Ensure compliance with Teladoc Heath policies and people practices across all business units
Manage complex employee relation issues and develop plans for solutions
Serve as the resident expert for the team on California specific employment laws
Lead, develop and coach the HR team to be best-in-class business partners.
Lead enterprise-wide, HR driven projects as assigned
Requires some travel to other locations.
12+ years working in HR inclusive of generalist experience and at least 6+ years in leadership/people management positions
Strong track record of managing senior-level key stakeholder relationships
University degree in business administration, social sciences or other relevant field required, MBA/MSc/MA preferred
PHRca, SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
Strong business acumen and commercial passion with an ability to understand company finances, resourcing and the ultimate aims of the business is critical
Proven credentials of driving cultural and behavioral changes in a multinational organization with diverse cultures
Experience in prior enterprise integrations
Exceptional communication skills (listening, verbal, written)
Ability to influence at all levels in the organization.
Consistently demonstrate a positive approach, act as a team-player, demonstrate professionalism and inspire trust
An inspiring leader with experience managing a virtual team
Ability to handle a busy workload, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Strong analytical capability with a metric orientation
A track record of driving improvements in efficiency, effectiveness and productivity
Previous experience working in Healthcare or High Tech would be desirable but is not a necessity
