JOB DESCRIPTION

Robert Half's corporate office is seeking an eager and analytical HR Data Analyst to join the Reporting and Analytics Department. This department is responsible for producing and distributing people analytics to RH Corporate, RH Field, and Protiviti business teams. They are also responsible for the maintenance and development of reporting and analytics within the Workday HR system.

This includes reconciliation of transactional data between different HR, Operational and Finance reporting environments, the gathering of new requirements from business partners, development and testing of new analytic tools, maintenance of existing models and data warehouses, process improvement, and researching and servicing customer inquiries.

The analysts perform these functions on a weekly basis. As needed, the role will also perform testing for projects and develop manual and/or ad hoc reports analysis for management.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • With guidance prepare, and send weekly, semi-monthly, monthly and quarterly analysis to internal customers within HR, and Field Leaders.

  • Research and respond to questions from internal RH customers.

  • Provide support for non-standard report and analysis requests for customers.

  • Provide support for data extracts.

  • Assist in the preparation of data mining and ad hoc analysis exercises as required.

  • With guidance, assist with business-to-systems analysis and problem-solving analysis of complex reporting and business issues. Able to contribute to functional and technical level on all phases of modeling and analysis activities.

  • Provide support for the impact analysis and project requirements definition phase of the development lifecycle for customers.

  • Translates customer needs into functional requirements. With guidance elicits, analyzes, and documents business requirements for project proposals including, but not limited to, process and data flows, user interfaces, security, and report requirements, and reconciliation activities.

  • Follows user acceptance test plans and schedules.

  • Provides implementation support for the production environment within negotiated service levels.

  • Supports testing efforts and coordinated implementation of system modifications

  • Ensure a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, HR, MIS or related area or equivalent experience and education preferred

  • 2+ years experience in an operational reporting or analysis environment with a Bachelor's degree; 5+ without.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new business processes, hardware/software systems quickly and independently.

  • Demonstrated understanding of data flows and reporting.

  • Previous experience with BI tools such as Workday, Anaplan, Tableau, Clickview a plus. Direct Workday experience preferred.

  • Previous experience working with people analytics, financial or management reporting a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to visually present and communicate data, analyses, and findings.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Visio and Power Point

  • High Proficiency using Excel. Including advanced formulas, macros, pivot tables.

  • Experience building and running basic queries or reports (MS Access, Cognos, Workday, or other BI tool) strongly preferred

  • Statistical analysis experience a plus a plus.

  • Highly flexible, ability to execute well in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment

  • Demonstrates strong initiative

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive employee information
