Located on a 27-acre wooded campus, Fairmount Behavioral Health System is a peaceful, therapeutic environment for patients and families. Fairmount is a major regional resource for children, adolescents and adults who have psychiatric and behavioral problems as well as alcohol and drug dependency needs. The spacious campus borders Fairmount Park in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. With one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in Philadelphia, Fairmount is the provider of choice for individuals requiring specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment. We are currently seeking a full-time Human Resources Credentialing Specialist to join our team.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Credentialing Specialist (HRCS) reports to the Human Resources Director and will provide a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative services. The HRCS establishes regular comminication with the department managers and ensures Human Resources (HR) polices and procedures are implemented and followed by personnel at all levels. The HRCS carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Onboarding of new hires; Set-up of personnel files for new hires; Prepares for new hire orientation training; Assists with auditing of personnel files on a regular basis; Creates and updates new hire reports and revises employment start schedule as needed; Assists with presenting HR material during orientation; Maintains Lawson certificates and education tabs; Works with HR Manager for employee clearance renewal; Builds rapport with hiring managers and sends onboarding updates; Participate in HR meetings; Ensures HR filing is organized and properly housed; Ensures sign-on bonus information is communicated to appropriate personnel; Works closely with HR Director, HR Manager and Recruiter to ensure overall delivery of the HR departmental services.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. High school diploma with equivalent experience.

Experience: Minimum of (2) years of relevant HR experience, preferably within a hospital, long-term care, or healthcare setting.

Knowledge: Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; decision-making a nd problem-solving skills; adept in use of routine office equipment; efficiency in computer programs; ability to handle information as strictly confidential.

Additional Requirements:

  • Employment law knowledge essential.

  • Must be able to handle sensitive material and maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Ability to occasionally work flexible or extra hours, including some weekends as needed.

  • Familiarity with recruitment techniques in healthcare, HR database software, benefits administration, specific knowledge of the day-to-day operations of an HR department.

  • Strong computer skills and technical capabilities, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Lawson HRMS, Taleo ATS & Onboarding programs, e.g., Cisive, etc.

  • Able to manage multiple priorities, think tactically and strategically, demonstrate objectivity, be results-oriented, and show initiative and creativity.

  • Must be flexible, work well under pressure, and have ability to readily adapt to change.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
