PURPOSE
Provides comprehensive support to coworkers and retirees of MGIC, addressing their questions, concerns and needs promptly and professionally. This role is crucial in ensuring that our coworkers feel supported and valued, fostering a positive and productive environment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following statements describe the general nature of work performed by people assigned to this job, may not be performed by all incumbents, and are not intended to be a complete list of all job duties.
Respond to coworker inquiries regarding HR and company policies, procedures and programs.
Provide guidance to both active and retired coworkers related to benefits, leave of absence and other HR-related topics.
Handle inbound contacts and requests from internal and external partners on HR related issues as well as serving as an escalation point when needed.
Track interactions and identifies trends and opportunities for improvement.
Facilitate group presentations related to HR practices including benefits, leave and other HR-related topics
Conduct individual interviews with co-workers
Act as resource for others and provides guidance in manager's absence
Handle escalated requests and provides an appropriate solution by analyzing the problem and overall impact
Act as back-up to generate reports to process HR information requested from cross-functional partners
Assist on special projects as directed
Support initiatives to enhance coworker engagement and the coworker experience inclusive of assistance with company events
Assist in the implementation of process improvement projects and initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Benefits
Demonstrated ability to identify problems, research, and follow through to resolution
Demonstrated ability to work independently and cross-functionally
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with ability to work with a wide range of audiences
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to discuss sensitive issues with employees
Strong organization skills to coordinate a variety of responsibilities simultaneously
Demonstrated critical and analytical thinking skills
Attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with Workday and other retirement systems
FLSA: This position qualifies for the Administrative exemption as the employee is required to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the administration of MGIC's benefits plans.
