What you will do here:
As the HR Coordinator, you will be an integral part of creating a best-in-class employee experience at Companion Protect! You will partner with the HR and Leadership Team to elevate the employee experience in areas such as Talent Acquisition support, Pay and Benefits, Leave of Absence Administration, impactful project work and overall team engagement.
Primary Responsibilities:
Act as the face of Companion Protect, greeting visitors to the Companion Protect office location
Foster a positive employee experience by being the first point of contact for all HR inquiries-answering general questions and partnering on solutions
Support the Talent Acquisition process by reaching out to candidates for scheduling interviews, collecting necessary documentation, and other ad hoc TA support as needed
Assist employees with understanding company policies and procedures, answering general questions by monitoring employee HR questions inbox
Work with third party pay and benefits administrator as needed
Coordinate companywide employee engagement events and activities
Support the on-boarding process and suggest enhancements to improve the employee experience for new hires
Develop an off-boarding process working with cross-functional partners to establish best practice
Evaluate employee files and make suggestions for appropriate storage in partnership with HR Leadership, Legal and Information Security
Maintain employee files
Assist with various HR projects and initiatives
Perform other related duties as assigned
What you'll bring to the team:
1+ year of experience in a role as an HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, or related experience
Experience in an administratively focused role
Demonstrated ability to deliver on deadline driven tasks
Working understanding of HR practices, and procedures
Skilled in identifying opportunities for improvement or enhancements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Demonstrated drive to deliver exceptional employee experience
Self-starter and creative thinker with experience in a fast-paced, and dynamic environment
High attention to detail and extremely organized
Continuous learner who identifies solutions and process improvements
Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related
SHRM-CP or related credentials
Experience with HR systems (i.e. HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems, Learning Management Systems, etc.)
Where is this role located? This role is Monday through Thursday in the Leawood, KS office location with Friday being flexible to work from home or office as needed.
