The Human Resources Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the HR department and ensuring that the HR functions are efficient and effective to support the organization. Provides human resource services including transaction processing, compliance monitoring, recordkeeping, employee relations and employment services. Responsible for the day-to-day administration and provides secretarial support for the department. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
Acts as liaison for employees and AskHR group regarding Benefits, Payroll and Leaves
Maintains EverCheck for tracking required licensures and certifications in order to stay compliant with state and federal guidelines, notifies managers for timely follow-up with their staff
Responsible for maintaining confidentiality in regard to all information and documentation.
Runs weekly/monthly/quarterly reports and as requested reports from Lawson, PowerBI, Sharepoint and Compensation reporting.
Monitor and audit affiliate Lawson data, and make appropriate changes to ensure correct data is maintained (vacant manager, work schedules, FTE, work assignments, etc..)
Supports new team member orientation for new employees
Participate in employee recognition activities.
Maintain effective working relationships with all vendors, staff and the public.
Processes ID badges and parking permits; responsible for tracking changes.
Work with recruiters to maintain staffing plans for assigned positions in order to present a high quality and diverse talent pool in a timely and cost effective manner.
Responsible for references, background checks, and new hire paperwork and on-boarding is completed in a timely manner.
Ensures that all Sourcing Strategies are in compliance with Federal, State, local laws and accrediting agencies.
Performs exit interviews and gathers feedback from managers and keeps accurate records related to each candidate considered.
Involves HR Business Partner/Employee Relations Partner during process if and when necessary.
Maintaining and ordering supplies for the office, printer and card printer
Filing of employee paperwork and storage of employee files
Sorting department mail to correct departments
Provides departmental support which includes primary point of contact for front desk coverage, miscellaneous project support, and assistance with employee file administration, and I9 audit/reconciliation.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience:
1-3 Years previous human resource experience required.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to use various different types of office equipment, i.e.: fax, copier, scanner, ID badge machine, telephones, shredder, etc.
Basic knowledge of regulatory laws including: EEO, FMLA, FLSA, Joint Commission and OSHA.
Effectively communicate with diverse populations and people.
Knowledge of computer software applications: Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Lawson, etc.
Must possess exceptional project management skills and strong analytical ability
Must possess an excellent knowledge of hospital functions and services provided
Ability to coordinate schedules and projects to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Understanding of various positions within UnityPoint Health
Knowledge of forms and policies and procedures utilized by Human Resources.
Self-motivated to complete tasks and excel in role.
