Job Description

The HR Business Partner 2 works closely with HR Business Partners, HR Consultants, Graduate School, and Centers of Expertise (COE) to provide HR support for managers and employees in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES).The HR Business Partner 2 performs administrative actions both inside and outside of Workday related to employee hires and job changes;
Reviews job information in Workday to determine appropriate system actions; initiates job and compensation related actions in Workday and ServiceNow, including
Period Activity Pay (PAP), pay rate changes, additional pay, leaves, FTE changes, academic appointments, job requisitions, terminations, and supervisory org changes.
Writes and sends HR related appointment and notification letters and assists with data collection efforts and HR administrative projects.
Collaborates with Global Services, HR Consultants, hiring managers and employees to support visa processing.
Maintains electronic personnel records in OnBase; researches and resolves Workday transaction questions and answers routine HR questions;
Serves as the primary point of contact for hiring managers/department coordinators as a HR subject matter expert on the hiring and employee life-cycle for undergraduate and graduate student employee populations.
Acts as a resource to managers and employees on a wide variety of human resources topics, guides individuals to tools and resources, facilitates communication, and helps resolve conflicts that impact engagement.
Initiates and approves transactions and generates reports. This will include running standard reports on an established schedule for the college.
Assists with special projects and the planning and implementation of HR initiatives.
Participates in HR team meetings effectively communicates with HR team members, HR Connection, managers, and employees to provide high quality service.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience required. A minimum of two years of relevant experience in human resources is required.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in an HR Generalist role supporting employees and managers is desired. Experience using an HR information system, preferably Workday, is desired.

Salary Range: $55,100 - $72,400*
