HR Compensation Analyst

Job Title: HR Compensation and Benefits Analyst

Location: Corporate Satellite Headquarters - Meridian, Idaho

Starting Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 (depending on experience)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Salary

Work Environment: In-Person, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm

Job Summary:

The HR Compensation and Benefits Analyst provides guidance and assistance regarding compensation trends and analytics, job evaluation, salary administration, compensation systems, policies and procedures in cllaboration with the Director of Benefits and Compensation. This position will help to develop and implement best practice business processes by gaining and demonstrating expertise in compensation and benefits practices.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, conduct data analysis and analyze compensation solutions to ensure internal alignment and external competitiveness across the company and compliance with applicable regulatory agencies.

  • Establish written job descriptions for all Corporate positions and assist other HR Managers with written job descriptions and maintenance of all job descriptions to create an enterprise level repository of the JDs.

  • Provide support and participate in annual compensation planning and administration salary range and/or broad-band structure development, year-end performance management and merit increases market budget projections.

  • Ensure company compliance with plan documents (retirement, medical, and incentive plans).

  • Participate in relevant external benchmark surveys to ensure competitive pay practices.

  • Provide guidance on proposed compensation requests (job leveling, banding salary benchmarking) for conformance and to assist with establishing guidelines, policies, and practices.

  • Work collaboratively with HR to recommend solutions that help resolve compensation and benefits related issues, while serving as an on-going resource for the HR organization in general compensation related inquiries and issues.

  • Conduct local market analysis for competitive compensation and benefit programs. Participate in Total Reward surveys.

  • Deliver training, guidance, and help to promote the compensation program and initiatives to the HR managers, business, and leadership at all levels in the organization.

  • Maintain the company wide process and procedure standards. Train others on the standards and help maintain the integrity of those standards.

  • Assist in the creation, maintenance, and improvement of online tools and apps to increase employee engagement, understanding, and ease-of-use of compensation and benefits.

  • Participate on the HR Leadership Team in developing policies, evaluations, and employee training programs.

  • Engage in personal development, including awareness of industry trends, compensation & benefits, technology, and employment law.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study. Equivalent training and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in a Human Resources position working with compensation and/or total rewards.

  • Previous experience working with an HRIS system is required. Preference will be given to SuccessFactors/SAP.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governance regulations.

  • Experience writing reports, business correspondences, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and instill trust in managers and employees that you serve.

  • Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks at a time.

  • Ability to effective communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Travel: This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
