The HR Communications Specialist is a key contributor to the Executive, Internal and Transformation Communications team, a significant corporate relations function serving more than 50,000 teammates across all Bridgestone Americas and specifically more than 400 teammates within HR.
This role collaborates with the communications team, HR Infrastructure change team, HR leadership and teammates to engage a broad range of internal stakeholders across the enterprise. This position is responsible for creating written and multimedia content that contributes to holistic HR communications plans that engage and enable teammates and keep them connected to the enterprise priorities with emphasis on change communications programming for the Human Capital Management (HCM) system, the company's HR transformation, and it's workstreams.
The HR Communications Specialist will influence and execute the change and communications strategy and tactics that inspire and lead the HR organization, along with their support organizations, through transformational change. These transformational changes will include new roles and responsibilities, technology adoption, new work processes and procedures and new ways to fulfill HR services to their client business and functional organizations. This will require a high degree of leadership around stewardship of the program with senior HR leaders and project teams to create a clear plan of action for adoption of processes and systems.
In this role, HR Communications Specialist will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders to ensure proper decisions are made when determining communication strategies for effective senior leader and teammate communications (socialization.
Along with the above responsibilities the HR Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing content for internal communications, leader briefings, video production and experiential engagement activities and tracking meaningful KPIs essential to the implementation of the HR transformation program.
Designs and implements effective strategies for communications (HR-to-HR, HR-to-Enterprise) to ensure communications are properly sequenced and executed
Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as intranet, monthly newsletter and team calls.
Keep key stakeholders abreast of program progress and answer their questions
Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form
Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization
Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external
Respond to feedback from teammates and adjust communications content accordingly
Handle the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation
Advise senior executives of developments throughout the organization, either face to face or through regular written communication
Collaborates with HR change team to evaluate change readiness, leadership alignment and organizational impact
Plans, executes, and monitors deliverables to ensure production deadlines are met and effective distribution of deliverables occurs, including KPI tracking
Assesses work climate to determine the most effective method of delivering informative and educational communications that create positive results
Interprets ambiguous and complex information, understands relationships and constructs relevant analysis for diagnostics and implementation
Project Management: Demonstrates understanding of implementation objectives, project plan, and change management resource needs; leads the implementation of the communication portion of the project; provides timely, thorough, and concise updates for area of responsibility; identifies areas of risk and properly communicates them to HR leaders for resolution or escalation
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field
