Position Summary

This position will be responsible for supporting and in some instances leading project efforts and initiatives in support of the organization, with close collaboration and partnership with the People & Culture community. This position will be a key point of contact for assisting the organization on core HR processes, through general coaching of managers and employees through those processes (example: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation planning, talent management and development).

Principal Responsibilities

  • Manage the data / metrics and position needs in close collaboration with P&C community, HR Executive Partners, Finance and HR Central.

  • Advises and coaches managers on all aspects of Core HR processes including: recruiting and selection, performance management and development, talent management, compensation, HR policies, etc.

  • Partners with HR colleagues: Total Rewards, Talent, HR Central, Employee Experience as initiatives are deployed

  • Assists the business with creation and storage of jobs descriptions and working with Total Rewards to determine appropriate job code and market data and communicate leveling to managers and assist with job requisitions where needed.

  • Support management with new employee on-boarding process and assimilation

  • Conducts training in support of HR initiatives as appropriate

  • Active involvement in a HR projects both locally and globally

  • Develop and drive efficient process to ensure headcount data is accurate with finance

  • Deliver end to end process results for data reconciliation including headcount data and other changes in appropriate system

  • Provide recruiting and headcount results and data by function via reporting and slides

  • Prepare HR reports as requested

  • Conduct exit interviews and aggregate data

  • Liaison between Total Rewards and manager on leveling of positions

  • Work with P&C Lead and function on year end calibration and compensation planning

  • Liaison between People & Culture and legal on documentation for position elimination and other involuntary leaves


  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in pharmaceutical and change-oriented environments.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; strong presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to work effectively across organizations

  • Strong ability to build working relationships

  • Ability to coordinate multiple and changing priorities

  • Experience in Project Management

  • Experience with Success Factors, Kronos, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook, Visio, Microsoft Project, Org Plus, Service Now

  • Comfortable with complexity, ambiguity and change

  • Experience with position management


  • BS in Human Resources, Psychology or related discipline.

  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred

VIEW JOBS 2/16/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-16T00:00 Under the direction of the Central Processing Department leadership team, the CPD OR Liaison (ORL) is responsible for coordinating the timely delivery of sterile instrumentation and supplies to designated service specialties throughout the operating room. In conjunction with the CPD supervisor, the ORL develops and maintains a close working relationship with the OR clinical team to provide complete and timely resource support as well as troubleshooting any CPD-related issues that may arise in real time. Acting as an extension of the CPD team, the ORL will also be required to undergo training and continuing competency of all CPD functions including, but not limited to decontamination, assembly & inspection and sterilization. Job duties and responsibilities may vary by department (see addendum A for more detail) * Adheres to all BWH & Perioperative Services policies and procedures. * Ensure completed case carts are moved to the designated Operating Room in a timely manner. * Forecast designated service instrument & material needs in advanced. * Meet regularly with the designated service line Assistant Nurse Director (AND) to discuss any changes that may occur in the schedule. * Establish and maintain rapport with designated service line chief surgeons. * Maintain open communication with both the OR clinical team and CPD leadership via Cisco phone, or other communication device as designated. * Informs Flow Manager when schedules must be rearranged to avoid conflicts rooted from instrument shortages/limitations. * Uses corresponding preference cards as a guideline to provide and adjust set-ups according to case details. Must identify errors and aid in correcting preference cards. Editing to be coordinated through designated AND. * Assists equipment coordinators and central supply with providing extra equipment to avoid IUSS occurrences between cases. * Resolves instrument, equipment and supply conflicts with OR nursing and/or CSS staff. Advises surgical technologist personnel on sterile field breakdown procedures and point-of-use treatment of soiled instrumentation. * Daily review of the status of designated service emergency carts, ensuring adequate sterile instrument and supply stock levels in the clean holding area. * Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of CPD-related processes and functions by successfully completing yearly competency evaluations. * Attain and maintain IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification within a year from employment. * In conjunction with the Inventory Controllers, facilitates and assists in coordinating the repair/replacement of damaged instruments for corresponding service lines. * Presents on CPD-related subjects during designated service line meetings. * Assists in the accurate reporting of a safety event. * Other CPD duties as assigned. * High School Diploma / GED required. * Minimum 4 years of experience working in a perioperative setting with surgical instruments and supplies. * Central Sterile Processing experience preferred. * Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite programs.
