The HR Business Partner is responsible for strategically driving to business outcomes through talent and culture. The focus is on diagnosing and partnering with leaders to deliver organizational design and development work. The Business Partner is responsible for partnering with business leads on building culture, associate relations, and talent, rooted in the values of the organization, including the talent lifecycle, from talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, culture/engagement, and rewards. The Business Partner ensures the organization has the capabilities, capacity to execute, and willingness to integrate fast feedback to adapt to change required, delivering the business strategy.

Key Deliverables

  • Partner with business leaders to establish people priorities/objectives to support business growth.

  • Identify key competencies that create a competitive advantage in the marketplace, delivering the business strategy. Assess talent development needs, partnering with OD to ensure effective talent development plans (training, coaching, and diverse work experiences) are in place to develop gold medal retail leaders. Ensure the right people are in the right roles, focused on the right priorities. Talent development and succession planning for current and future business needs becomes the fabric of our culture.

  • Champion a culture that recruits and retains associates with diversity of thought, style, experiences, and backgrounds. Influence culture change that enables focus, speed, collaboration, and agility. Successfully lead change that enables company growth, evolution, with a focus on the customer first. Creates a culture that supports a high performance environment, where talent flourishes.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to develop strategic recruitment plans - creating a compelling employment brand, a pipeline of passive candidates for key disciplines (e.g. digital, merchants, design), to identify and draw top retail talent.

Qualifications

  • 3 5 years of work experience in a Human Resources management role

  • Multi-Store experience preferred

  • Prior experience managing large scale/scope of projects

  • Strong coaching and consulting skills

  • Ability to handle high volume of associate concerns

  • Strong attention to detail and follow up

  • Professional demeanor, confident, able to effectively work with all levels

  • Ability to work well under changing dynamics and significant ambiguity

  • Retail human resource experience preferred

Education

College degree and related experience

Responsible for: Upholding the Crunch Franchise core values of T.R.A.I.N.: Timely, Ready, Attentive, Inspiring, Noble. Make reaching fitness goals achievable by assisting members and clients with education and guidance on comprehensive fitness programs including resistance and cardio-respiratory training, general nutritional guidelines, and nutritional product recommendations. Meeting/exceeding minimum monthly company expectations including session service targets resulting in Personal Training revenue, supplement/nutritional product sales, and contributing to club success. Training exclusively for Crunch Franchise. As a Crunch Franchise team member, it is a violation of our conflict of interest policy to conduct personal training sessions or perform any person training-related duties independently or at any company outside of Crunch Franchise. This includes working as an employee or independent contractor for another health club, personal training studio or private residence, or engaging in any other activities that represent a conflict of interest for Crunch Franchise. Organizational Relationship: Reports to the Personal Training Manager, Assistant Personal Trainer if applicable, Franchise partner or General Manager depending on club and market. This position does not have any direct reports. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The Personal Trainer is responsible for performing the following activities for the club: Service and Train Clients [70% of time] Create an outstanding initial personal training experience for introductory package clients Prepare and deliver comprehensive fitness programs based on clients’ goals that include appropriate exercise selection, nutritional programming and teaching a fitness lifestyle Inform clients of the fitness tools available to assist them in achieving their goals Set expectations and hold clients accountable to their comprehensive fitness programs through goal setting, follow up discussions, and tracking progress Demonstrate safe and proper exercise technique to clients Service Members [20% of time] Instruct members on proper use of club equipment and exercise techniques Assist, at the club management’s request, in any member service activities (e.g., fitness seminars, boot camps, body fat tables, supplement/nutritional product demos etc.) Understand all aspects and benefits of the CAMP CRUNCH Orientation and deliver a positive fitness experience to members and guests Help with racking weights and assisting in maintaining a neat, organized and clean club Additional/Misc.
