With nearly 7,500 employees and over 1,000 licensed in-patient beds, UT Health East Texas provides healthcare services to thousands of patients annually through our hospitals, clinics, Level 1 trauma facility, air emergency fleet, EMS service and eight additional emergency rooms in a metropolitan service area of a quarter-million people.

UT Health East Texas is building a high functioning Human Resources team to support our dynamic growth. As a result, we are transforming the way Human Resource services are delivered and are seeking a creative and detail oriented Human Resources Business Partner for our Jacksonville, Texas hospital. Candidates should have a passion for ensuring seamless delivery and execution of people strategies that support hospital objectives. This includes delivering core HR services to the business.

Work You'll Do:

The HR Business Partner works closely with their assigned facility/client group to:

  • Serve as the SME, coach and advisor on all people matters

  • Ensure HR needs of assigned client group are communicated and included in HR strategy, process and programs

  • Complete required reporting and conduct additional deep dive analyses of people analytics to identify trends and make data-driven people-related decisions

  • Lead their group through the process of improving and monitoring employee engagement

  • Develop initiatives that reduce voluntary turnover/increase retention

  • Lead facility on-boarding efforts including the New Leader Assimilation Process; Participate on the broader UT Health East Texas New Hire Experience Team

  • Deliver practical and insightful thought leadership to department leaders, focusing attention on appropriate next steps to address areas of need

  • Oversee employee relations issues by effectively managing risk, working with employees, managers, legal and HR leaders to develop the best possible outcomes

  • Work across the UT Health East Texas HR team to implement the broader HR strategy and initiatives

  • Ensure the UT Health East Texas commitment to creating an inclusive culture

Requirements

Certification/Licensure

PHR, SPHR preferred

Education

Bachelors' Degree in Business Administration, Management, Education, Human Resources or other related fields required

Experience
3-5 years in human resources in a healthcare or other related setting

Competencies

Creative / Driven / Proactive / Thoughtful / Detail Oriented / Analytical / Focused
