As part of our company's our Research & Development Division HR team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a group of talented and dedicated colleagues while developing and expanding your career as an HR Professional. This position is based in our company's enterprise Shared Service Center (eSSC) site in Philadelphia.

In this role, the eSSC Site HR Lead will have multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. The eSSC is our company's our Research & Development Division first skills-first center, supporting multiple business units. Success requires influential partnership with associates, managers, and senior management within the organization, as well as a number of internal stakeholders and external partners, to execute strategies that foster organizational and people effectiveness. Candidates should have a flexible skill set, including the ability to execute tactically and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations.

Responsibilities include coaching and consulting site leadership, serving as the front-line point of contact for the eSSC staff, partnering with management to drive site engagement, supporting employee development, and general HR support. Additionally, this role will act as a subject matter expert on the Skills First initiative and drive the talent strategy for the eSSC staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR consulting and coaching to leaders. Understand dynamics and key business priorities of site to support to business leaders on effectively managing and leading the site

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of HR functions and duties at the site

  • Provide leadership and project management to critical HR initiatives across the site and the broader Research & Development HR team as needed

  • Partner with site business leadership to execute HR related programs that enable a strong culture of collaboration, innovation, and commitment to talent development and personal development ; sponsor site specific committees driving onsite engagement and development opportunities led by employees

  • Coach leaders and members of leadership team(s) to successfully manage all cyclical people management processes (talent management, succession planning, performance management, compensation planning, etc.)

  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, employee relations).

  • Assist employees and line management with general questions related to Human Resources (employee relations, disability, benefits, helps troubleshoot issues, educational assistance, etc.)

  • Ensure compliance with company and site policies, procedures and existing employment laws and regulations

  • Partner with leaning and development organization on learning strategies and solutions to support and enable talent strategy

  • Partner with talent acquisition organization and Skills First Leadership on activities in support of the organization's workforce plan and talent strategy.

  • Act as point-of-contact between WeWork site management and eSSC staff

  • May support initiatives and business leaders in broader organization, as needed

Skills/Competencies:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree, or currently in pursuit of degree completion, or equivalent relevant work experience in Human Resources, or related discipline

  • Minimum 6 years' experience in Human Resources, or related discipline (with Master's degree, minimum experience is 4 years)

  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, effectively influence, consult with coach senior leaders and managers, while developing and conducting manager training

  • Ability to strategically prioritize time and problem solve against most impactful activities and initiatives

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to demonstrate and foster collaboration among peers and extended HR organization

  • Experience navigating and leveraging HR systems and data analytics to support client consultation

  • Knowledge of employment legal practice/policies

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Preferred Competencies:

  • Previous HR Business Partner Experience

  • Employee or Labor Relations Experience
