To perform senior level Human Resources generalist support in all functional areas of Human Resources.
Required Qualifications
Accurately diagnose organizational issues, develop solutions, and implement action plans. Lead in resolution of employee relations issues and provide management coaching to build leadership capabilities and conduct internal investigations when required. Effectively manage multiple projects and overlapping tasks, such as, research, development of policies, and best practices and special time sensitive projects. Review and analyze Human Resources data and trends to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance systems, retention, and engagement. Serve as the Human Resources communication lead on multiple projects.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field and at least 9 years of senior Human Resources experience in all functional areas. Demonstrate commitment to diversity and inclusion. Strong business acumen and ability to work across different functions in order to integrate and execute HR and business strategies. Demonstrate critical think ability. Resilient and able to thrive in a fast-pace environment with a high energy level. Exceptional listening skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of faculty and staff including the ability to influence and coach all members of the community. Confident written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence the decision making process. VIEW JOBS 11/10/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-08T00:00 The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of the HR Department, including full-cycle recruiting, payroll, benefits and administration of the company policies, procedures and programs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: * Recruiting/Onboarding – review job descriptions, post internal/external openings, screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, coordinate in-person interviews, perform credit and background checks, and administer electronic onboarding process * Payroll – Inputs HRIS data including payroll related changes and terminations; performs routine audits to ensure data accuracy * Benefits – manage benefits administration including processing new and annual open-enrollment changes, educate employees on various benefit and retirement plans, work with brokers and vendors as needed, and reconcile benefit statements and HR invoices. Assist HR Manager in completing annual benefits reporting requirements * Administrative – maintain confidential employee personnel files, update HRIS, gather and analyze data for HR metrics, create and update numerous spreadsheets with employee data, and assist with HR audits Writes, revises, edits and proofreads company policies & procedures and related documents as needed * Review and respond to unemployment claims and employment verifications with appropriate documentation * Maintains and updates company organizational charts, phone directory and other requested items as needed * Oversees auto claims, vehicle registration and insurance for company's fleet vehicles * Manages the approval process for ordering business cards * Participates in rotating game duty schedule * Assist with other special projects and tasks as assigned Requirements * College degree required * 2-3 years of experience of HR Generalist experience or similar * Strong knowledge of MS Office and HRIS software (preferably UltiPro) * Must have excellent organizational skills * Self-motivated and able to work under strict deadlines and minimal supervision * Solid knowledge of principles and practices of HR and benefit administration * Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training and preventative labor relations, preferred * Ability to work flexible hours and holidays as needed The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
