SUMMARY
The Distribution Center HR Business Partner is responsible for all location activity related to Talent Acquisition, Team Member Relations and development, Team Member performance management and interpreting and enforcing company policies and procedures. The DC HR Business Partner shall act as a strategic partner to the Sr.
DC Leadership team and play a significant role in determining and executing location specific strategic initiatives. The Business Partner will also support the company-wide Team Member Relations function by serving as a subject matter expert in the areas of Team Member and supervisor coaching, counseling and complaint investigations. The Business Partner also supports the overall performance objectives of the DC. The Position reports directly to Director of Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Facility Strategic Business Partner: Align all HR programs, processes and tools with both short and long term business objectives. Understand and communicate to DC Leadership team how HR impacts business and profitability and develop and deploy people strategies.
Team Member Relations: Will have primary responsibility for all Team Member Relations function for the facility.
Will partner with DC Leadership, corporate Human Resources and Operations teams to proactively promote and support Team Member engagement. Will conduct all Team Member related investigations in consultation with the corporate TMR department.
Talent Acquisition/Retention: In collaboration with DC Leadership Team anticipates, plans and executes for appropriate staffing levels to meet the fluctuating demands of the business and facility. Coach Managers on how to engage and retain key talent.
Compliance: Understand and ensure facilities' application and compliance with all State, federal and local employment laws, rules and regulations. Assure that facility completes and retains appropriate documentation in accordance with company policy and practices.
Performance Management: Facilitate the process between Team Members and Managers to discuss and resolve performance issues. Provide necessary support and coaching to managers on Team Member performance issues and corrective action.
Training: Develop and present a range of learning and developmental experiences that build the necessary knowledge, skills and values required for organizational success.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Education Minimum: Bachelors Degree
Education Preferred: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources or related field.
Experience Minimum: Years: 6+ (Highly Specialized Individual Contributor) Experience as a Generalist/Specialist in Human Resources/Employee Relations.
Experience Preferred: Experience in at least two of the following areas: Human Resource Management, Employee Relations, Compensation/Benefits, Staffing, Organizational Development/Change Management, or Process Management, working in an off-site location. 1 - 2 years of HR management experience.
