Play a critical role and make a real impact in this rapidly growing technology and manufacturing company. You will work closely with management providing HR support for the organization, including talent acquisition and retention, employee relations, and policy development support.

This position is located at our Vancouver facility, and will include business partner support to our location in Hillsboro approximately 20% of the time.


  • Coach/consult with managers and employees on a wide range of issues including: performance management, compensation, benefits, leaves, and organizational and employee development.

  • Work closely with management to ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws.

  • Lead and follow-through on employee relations issues; perform investigations and advise management personnel on the fair and consistent handling of situations requiring discipline.

  • Provide guidance and support to managers on performance management and Performance Improvement Plans.

  • Develop, communicate and interpret HR programs, policies and procedures.

  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, programs and systems.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or a related field.

  • 3+ years' experience as an HR Generalist/Partner, preferably in a high-tech environment with manufacturing.

  • PHR certification is preferred.

  • Project Management skills.

  • Employee relations experience required with an understanding of applicable employment laws.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle very difficult or volatile situations/individuals effectively.

  • Knowledge of federal, state and local labor laws and ability to turn that knowledge into practical action.

  • Strong people management skills paired with excellent communication and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to be proactive, to anticipate and provide solutions to business needs.

  • Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop productive and effective relationships across all levels.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be an articulate and persuasive communicator.

  • Strong analytical ability.

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours. Req ID: 178188 JOB SUMMARY Serves as a supportive resource as an initial point of contact for caregivers and leaders for general Human Resource (HR) and employment related matters. Responds to the inquiries directed to the HR Service Center; supports caregivers and leaders in resolving initial inquiries.  Works in support of HRPO in support of more complex issue resolution.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Consults with HR supervisor and HR partners regarding inquiries on a variety of employment issues including performance management, policy interpretation and administration, HR processes, compensation, benefits, payroll, and employee and labor relations. Participates in HRPO projects, requests, and provide support as needed.   2. Establishes relationships with caregivers and leadership to facilitate effective problem resolution. Analyzes situations and provides recommendations and follow-up supporting the business strategies and objectives of the HRPO. 3. Case manages AskHR inquiries, interfacing with internal and external resources to furnish or obtain needed information. Researches issues, gathers support information, solicits input from necessary knowledge experts and provides resolution within the Service Level Agreement (SLA). 4. Submits supervisor updates, builds position codes and submits action requests to ensure HRMS system accuracy. 5. Collaborates and partners with HR stakeholders and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to resolve specific issues requiring focused resolution. 6. Educates caregivers on self-service technology. Refers caregivers to PeaceHealth’s or other vendors (i.e. benefits, leave of absence, retirement etc.) as appropriate. 7. Reports on HR-related metrics.  Enters, compiles and analyzes data relating to performance management, corrective actions, and other purposes. 8. Performs other duties as assigned.   QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION:      * Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field; or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience.   EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:               * Minimum of 2 years human resource experience required, preferably in the healthcare industry.   license/certification: * Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred   OTHER SKILLS:   * Knowledge of regulatory compliance, federal and state laws with a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines. * Ability to analyze information gathered by investigation, and concisely report findings and recommendations. * Ability to prioritize responsibilities and to organize workload to ensure that timeframes are met, and the work is successfully completed within deadlines. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Data entry and analytical skills. * Proficient in the use of MS Office application. * Proficient in the use of a major HRIS solution preferred.   SYSTEM PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS: * Work requires fairly light physical exertion from up to 65% of the time. * Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less. * Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation. * Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (up to 65% of work time).
