The Human Resources Associate (HR Business Partner 2) serves as an operational role in the Strategic Initiatives function of Human Resources in either an academic unit, business unit or medical center setting.
The Human Resources Associate relies on a combination of prior relevant experience and oversight from the HR Business Partner and HR Consultants primarily with a focus on HR transactions and operational support to the unit, Support areas can include, but are not limited to Workday business processes, ServiceNow tickets, employee support, onboarding/offboarding checklists, reporting and basic analytics, and the talent acquisition process.
Key Responsibilities
Provides HR services in partnership with the Centers of Expertise (CoE), provides day-to-day operational support for HR functions. Guides individuals to tools and resources, serves as a resident expert on Workday, initiates and approves transactions, and generates reports. Provides HR support and manages the lifecycle of employee appointments including but not limited to: regular, temporary, term positions, and student and non-employee populations.
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience.
Desired Education/Experience
2-4 years of relevant experience. Experience in a higher education setting. Experience in cyclical employee onboarding/offboarding
