Job Duties
Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center is seeking a Part Time Human Resources Assistant to assist with the day-to-day administrative functions of the HR Department. The successful candidate will possess strong time management, organizational and interpersonal skills. He or she must embody a positive attitude, approach tasks with high energy, and have a willingness to be flexible and adapt quickly to change. The selected candidate must have shown demonstrated commitment successfully adhering to an assigned work schedule.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate HR and Employee files and records
Respond to employee inquiries and questions, escalating as needed
Enter and key employee leave in designated system(s)
Assist in the planning of employee recognition, open enrollment, scheduling meetings and booking conference rooms, holiday events, hiring events, etc.
Provide support in the on-boarding and off-boarding of staff
Maintain HR databases for accuracy and efficiency
Other duties may be assigned across other HR functional areas
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Diploma
Ability to handle and manage sensitive and confidential information and situations
Excellent time management skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and across different departments
Must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Office 365
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
