Job Duties

Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center is seeking a Part Time Human Resources Assistant to assist with the day-to-day administrative functions of the HR Department. The successful candidate will possess strong time management, organizational and interpersonal skills. He or she must embody a positive attitude, approach tasks with high energy, and have a willingness to be flexible and adapt quickly to change. The selected candidate must have shown demonstrated commitment successfully adhering to an assigned work schedule.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate HR and Employee files and records

  • Respond to employee inquiries and questions, escalating as needed

  • Enter and key employee leave in designated system(s)

  • Assist in the planning of employee recognition, open enrollment, scheduling meetings and booking conference rooms, holiday events, hiring events, etc.

  • Provide support in the on-boarding and off-boarding of staff

  • Maintain HR databases for accuracy and efficiency

  • Other duties may be assigned across other HR functional areas

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Diploma

  • Ability to handle and manage sensitive and confidential information and situations

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and across different departments

  • Must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Office 365

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Considerations

  • Experience using Cardinal or other HRIS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communication, or Human Resources preferred.
