Position Overview
The UNT System Human Resources Department is one department made of a team of teams that supports various constituencies and component institutions within our UNT System Enterprise while working together to achieve the vision of becoming an enterprise that is values-driven and customer-focused with an emphasis on excellence, curiosity, and innovation. There are exciting things on the horizon, and we are looking for experienced and innovative HR professionals to join our journey.
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a High school diploma or GED; and a minimum of three years of general office, clerical, or human resource experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated verbal and oral communication skills.
Considerable knowledge of modern office equipment, information and filing systems and procedures.
Basic computer knowledge/technical skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage difficult customer situations.
Demonstrated knowledge of telephone etiquette.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with the public, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to maintain accurate detailed records.
Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed.
Preferred Qualifications
Written and verbal fluency in Spanish.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Job Duties:
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Serves as a backup to the HR Student Assistant. Receives visitors to the Human Resources office, answers email requests and inbound calls.
Answers inquiries using provided general HR procedures and practices or knowledge gained through researching online resources or initiating phone calls to obtain information.
Applies independent judgment to troubleshoot and route inquiries appropriately for best customer service outcome, if unable to answer customer's inquiry adequately.
Displays urgency and high level of responsiveness to customer's needs, maintaining excellent customer service skills at all times.
Provides support with various administrative Human Resources functions.
Assists employees with completion of human resources forms. Reviews documentation and processes forms.
Compiles information and prepares reports as needed. Composes and prepares routine correspondence.

Hours will vary. Office hours are Mon-Fri, 8am
