OfficeTeam is partnering with a growing hospitality group in Orange, in their search for a focused, professional HR Assistant who has an aptitude for identifying talent, is results-driven and can be an ambassador for our client's reputable company. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees aligned with our core values and fit to fill vacant positions in restaurants and corporate office. Keeps records and administers benefits plans participation such as insurance and 401(k) plans, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations. Responsible for updating employee personnel files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.

Develops, maintains and updates HR/corporate communications materials. Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company culture and goals. Requirements
At least 1-year experience in the human resources field. Associate?s degree An enthusiastic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image. The role leads comprehensive duties across the full scope of human resources, and contributes to the ongoing development of our great employees. The primary focus of the Recruiter / HR Generalist will be leading significant daily activities within recruiting, including the creation and posting of requisitions, candidate application management, screening of resumes and supporting documentation, setting up interviews, interviewing candidates by phone, video, and in-person, updating the status of ongoing candidates, declining, offering, and hiring. Utilizing key systems in place for the recruiting life-cycle process, the role will manage new hire documentation from initiating, processing, and verification, plus onboarding and transition of new hires to their respective managers. The Recruiter / HR Generalist will be one of the primary points of contact for all employees, especially to facilitate a smooth transition for new hires into their roles enabling business success. The role will be crucial in ensuring that new hire documentation actively reflects required ongoing state-specific updates, providing orientation to employees, arranging of initial and periodic training, development tracking, frequent employee communication, plus management of the employee handbook and applicable brand manuals. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in recruiting and human resources, with skills in evaluating a range of employee scenarios, advising the company of best procedures and relevant changes in regulations, significant communication to every role in the company, and possess a depth of experience in recruiting, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding. Additionally, the role will require knowledge and access to relevant multi-state sources in regard to human resources, compliance, regulations and research. Networking resources and experience, certified training, college degree, and HR organization membership, are ideal as well.
