The Position:

Veracyte, Inc. is a leading genomic diagnostics company that is fundamentally improving patient care by resolving diagnostic uncertainty with evidence that is trustworthy and actionable. We are seeking an HR and Compliance Associate to join our growing company. The Associate plays a mission critical role in meeting Veracyte's business objectives. The successful incumbent joins a small, collaborative and nimble team that works closely together on initiatives. The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting HR and Compliance and Quality operations at Veracyte.

Key deliverables include:

  • Assist in compliance programs for the Company that meet the federal guidelines standards and industry regulations

  • Lead the process for creating, revising, and managing the approval processes for quality documents and collaborate with document reviewers to consolidate comments and resolve discrepancies

  • Design and maintain templates used for the creation of documents; ensuring consistent use and application of templates by users

  • Identify and track key deliverables associated with process events or changes to aid in implementing corrective actions

  • Coordinate and distribute company-wide policies and compliance training to ensure business objectives and customer requirements are met. Conduct reporting and follow-up related activities.

  • Lead sales compliance such as DMV checks, Proof of Insurance, EOI Sales Certificate

  • Assist in new employee documents set-up and data quality review in HRIS records

  • Facilitate workers compensation and injury reporting

  • Audit benefits invoices to ensure accurate processed payment each month

  • File and archive documentation and keep an accurate inventory of records on and off site

Who You Are:

You have a degree in a business or administration related field and at least two years of experience participating in quality, compliance, administrative and/or human resources functions at a public company. You've handled confidential material discreetly and in accordance with established policies and procedures. You are a savvy user of productivity applications including MS Office - Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel. Coworkers describe you as motivated and proactive with having strong organizational, analytical and communication skills. You can work well under pressure, organize priorities, deal with interruptions, and maintain flexibility and confidentiality. This position is part of the U.S. Commercial, Medical and Government Affairs HR team. This role is the strategic business partner to leaders and leadership teams within the client organizations. This position manages complex/matrix relationships, collaborating effectively across business and HR networks/partners. The person in this role will consult, advise, coach, and partner with the business on people and organizational needs – ensuring alignment with agreed Group, Genentech HR, functional, and regional/site initiatives as well as business strategy. This role also partners with leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, including change management. Position Overview: * Strategic business partner to leaders and leadership teams * Consult, advise, coach and partner with the business on people and organizational needs * Ensure alignment with agreed group, functional and regional initiatives as well as business strategy and ensure successful local execution * Drive organizational effectiveness including change management for assigned client groups * Influence the overall people strategy; partner with leaders and LTs to develop and implement the people strategy/agenda for the business * Execute global and local HR processes and decisions and ensure meaningful communications * Develop and drive local HR initiatives that meet key business needs (aligned with global requirements) Key Responsibilities * Act as key HR point of contact, thought partner and sounding board for client leadership teams. * Identify, define and implement solutions that address the needs of the business while taking into account the broader implications (e.g. Group HR strategy, Genentech HR strategy/goals, other functions) * Contribute to the business strategy. Drive the People Agenda by applying broad HR skills in the areas of organization design and development, change management, workforce planning, coaching/consultation, program/project management, facilitation and communication. Plan and implement people/organization solutions aligned to the business, Group HR strategy, Genentech HR strategy/goals, and/or function goals. * Ensure excellent alignment and execution of established human resources policies, procedures and Group, divisional and global functional HR initiatives. * Act as trusted advisor to managers and employees. * Partner with Global/Regional HRBPs to align and execute on initiatives and Group processes (this includes providing input to and leveraging tools and templates from CoEs where appropriate). * Identify talent issues before they affect the business. Act as a talent scout for internal talent for local and global key positions and help develop the next generation of leaders through talent management and career development. Contribute to assessment/selection for senior leaders and other critical positions. * Ensure compliance of all HR practices within area of responsibility and with legislative and regulatory requirements, standards, and other known relevant policies and guidelines. This position is not eligible for relocation.
