The HR Admin Coordinator will be focused on recruiting, employee relations and other administrative tasks for one of NVR's largest manufacturing facilities in Thurmont, MD. You will be a part of an energetic culture where we thrive on teamwork, collaboration, and innovative ideas.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drives the recruitment, screening, and pre-employment/onboarding paperwork for all new hires.

  • Coordinates candidate interviews with hiring managers.

  • Prepares and processes employee payroll.

  • Plans and executes company events including employee engagement activities.

  • Manages inventory levels for employee engagement supplies.

  • Performs a variety of administrative support functions including filing and maintaining employee certifications.

  • Updates and maintains confidential personnel files to document personnel actions examines files to answer inquiries; provides information to authorized personnel.

  • Updates various employee metrics reports for management.

  • Completes special projects as assigned.


  • BA or equivalent recruiting/administrative experience required (2+ years).

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-starter able to work independently and with an administrative team.

  • Organized with strong attention to detail.

  • Strongly prefer candidates with applicant screening experience (Phone or In-Person).

  • Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment and requirements.

Administrative Assistants perform various clerical, administrative and basic general duties including but not limited to data processing, record and file creation and maintenance, mail distribution, telephone reception, invoice processing and administrative support for department. Responsibilities include: * Demonstrating a solid commitment to all aspects of safety. * Producing a variety of correspondence, reports and presentations using the appropriate office equipment and software. * Demonstrating sound internal and/or external customer service. * Meeting customer needs by providing sound service and responsiveness. * Increasing understanding of customer expectations and improving job skills. * Building relationships and credibility across organization. * Following up with customers when appropriate. * Using effective communication skills with good judgment. * Supporting the department's administrative needs which may include maintaining of appointment calendars, meeting scheduling, travel arrangements, payroll time reporting, purchasing system, on-line ordering, filing (electronic and hard copy), and invoice processing. * Updating information using various software applications. * Assisting in Restore Service (RS) events as necessary. * Other similar duties as assigned. An employee hired at the Advanced level will be expected to perform the above responsibilities with more proficiency, and in a more independent manner. Further, the Advanced level employee will be assigned additional responsibilities related to those listed above. Qualifications * Must have a high school diploma or GED. Possess 4 -7 years of experience in the Associate Administrative Assistant role or in other equivalent position. * Must pass the Company's EEI Support and Administrative Selection System (SASS) test. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. * Must demonstrate a questioning attitude to learn, produce results, and develop relationships. * Must have ability to follow established element practices, procedures, and instructions, and produce basic administrative work products in a thorough, timely and accurate manner. * Must have sound verbal and written communication skills. * Must have ability to work effectively in a team environment. * Must be able to work independently. * Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Must have excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous, helpful). * Must have the ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines. * Must be able to handle confidential information. * Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work load. At the Advanced level, qualifications include those listed above, as well as: * Requires 7 -10 years of experience in the Administrative Assistant position or in other equivalent position. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Must have the ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines.
