Provide mechanical repair services for various church departments, shops, and entities. Oversee mechanical repair operations and coordinate services with leadership and key customers. This is a people supervisor role.

This position will oversee the mechanical repair personnel and the maintenance operations for Headquarters Facilities (HQF).
Shift Details:
Friday 7:00 am
3:30 pm
Church Headquarters, SLC, UT.
A valid Driver's License is required for this position.
Compensation: $27-30+/hr (depending on education and experience)
Required:
Thorough understanding of safety procedures, including lockout tag out, proper uses of PPE and other applicable safety practices
Proficiency in various Computer applications, including:
Microsoft Office products
Work Order Software
Must have a valid driver's license
May be required to become DOT certified
Must be able to understand English for general communication, video training, building security, and safety. Also, must be capable of understanding instructions both verbally and in writing.
Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, push, and pull for extended periods of time.
Must be able to independently lift and position objects lifting as much as 50 lbs. Must be able to team lift and position objects weighing as much as 100 lbs.
Must be able to safely climb ladders and be able to work for extended periods of time from a ladder, lift, or scaffold
Must be able to fit into confined spaces such as manholes, crawl spaces, attics, etc.
Must have at least 20/40 vision with or without corrective lenses and not less than 120 degrees combined horizontal peripheral vision.
Must be capable of hearing to properly troubleshoot and diagnose equipment
Preferred:
2 years of leadership experience
4 years of mechanical repair experience or education/training, which includes:
Small and industrial machine repair and maintenance
Basic Welding
Equipment diagnostics and troubleshooting
Oversee mechanical repair operations and personnel
Conduct regular performance reviews and evaluations of mechanical repair shop personnel
Order equipment parts and supplies
Oversee coordination, alignment, and continuity of mechanical repair services
Effective customer service and communications
Properly document and report all equipment repair operations to department management and key customers
Perform other tasks as assigned by management
Analyze, maintain, diagnose, and repair a wide variety of mechanical equipment, including:
Large industrial equipment: street sweepers and scrubbers, tractors, electric carts, forklifts, man lifts, etc.
Grounds equipment: lawn mowers, gas trimmers, blowers, pressure washers, etc.
Regularly supervise the work of other employees (may include mixed workforce)
Provides suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other change of status of employees under their supervision
