HQ Usaf Wargame Data Analyst (Part Time)

Activity Supported:

USAF wargaming consists of multiple nested events that build upon each other in the study of force posture and design to achieve CSAF objectives. Each wargame consists of multiple task, functional, and cross-functional specific workshops, joint and combined operational planning events, table-top exercises, vignette driven explorations, and strategic forums.

Job Description:

• Assists the Senior Data Analyst

• Executes modeling simulation systems and tools (e.g., transportation) to support wargame execution

• Provides tailored campaign modeling support to wargame efforts

• Assists pre-game, concurrent, and/or post-game analysis in accordance with wargame design and analysis plan

• Supports the design of wargames to meet a variety of purposes and objectives.

• Conduct activities to plan, execute, manage, and analyze throughout all phases of HQ USAF wargames (concept development, objective and analysis/assessment planning, game design, event planning, management, and execution, and post-game analysis).

• Analyzes, interprets, and prepares briefings on operational concepts, military strategy, and doctrine as they pertain to wargaming design and objectives.

• Engages with USAF and extra-USAF partners to recruit participants and contributions to the Blue, Red, Adjudication, Assessment, and Control teams.

• Prepares reports, talking papers, and related material regarding the wargames, to include briefings, documents and presentations to senior AF and DoD leadership.

• Supports the development and tailoring of wargame scenarios and vignettes.

• Building wargame specific documents (such as wargame orders, tasking directives, and calling messages).

• Manages and employees the Wargame Information Environment (WIE) and related components.

• Provides and maintains a high level of subject-matter expertise for wargame support, participation, adjudication, facilitation, and analysis.

• Participating in mission-partner wargames and workshops as required to provide subject matter expertise and stay apprised of activities in the military wargaming community.

• The Contractor shall prepare WIE hardware and software for incorporation into the WIE both at regular worksite and offsite event locations, as required.

• Aid Government personnel in engaging and integrating analytical organizations both internal and external to AF Futures and HQ USAF in wargames to develop and execute an objectives analysis plan.

Required Skills/Education/Years of Experience:

• Shall possess a graduate degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in modeling, simulations, or operations research analysis.

• Shall have excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Experience developing wargame tools and in providing wargame or operational analysis required.

Security Clearance Required: TOP SECRET/SCI (TS/SCI) eligible security clearance is mandatory.

Position Type: Part Time (40 hours per 2-week pay period)

Salary Range: $60,000 - 85,000

Work Location: The primary duty location is Joint Base Andrews, MD. Occasional work presence will be required at AF Futures spaces at the Pentagon, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, or elsewhere in the NCR, as mission requirements dictate.
