The Opportunity

As a Hardware Product Quality Engineering (HPQE) Lead, the primary focus will be to manage a team of 3 mid-level engineers who work with elevated complaint investigations of returned product. The role focuses on workload management of the 3 engineers to support complex case closures. Aside from supporting complex case closures, this role's additional focus will be to manage and drive investigation reports and investigation technique documentation to closure and implementation.

What You'll Work On

The HPQE Lead's main priority will be the workload management of his/her team. An example challenge this role will face will be ensuring the investigation reports and investigation technique documents from their team meets all process requirements and maintains high quality report and technical writing standards. This challenge can be accomplished by reviewing the training of the engineers in their team, and periodically providing feedback to them when issues are encountered in documentation.

  • Manage investigation report and technique documentation workload

  • Establish effective team oversight with metrics and support complex case closure.

  • Manage workload assignments of direct reports

  • Review the work output of direct reports to ensure quality analysis is being performed and documentation is held to the highest standard.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree

  • Minimum 4 years of Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 6 Years of experience, both overall and any industry-specific experience needed

  • Quality Assurance and healthcare industry technical disciplines preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Minimum 4 years Overall quality experience in an FDA/ISO regulated environment.

  • Experience performing product failure analysis.

  • Engineering background to support technical investigations.

  • Substantial demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; critical thinking skills

  • Experience in leading & managing people.

The base pay for this position is $95,500.00 - $190,900.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
