HPL - CDL Driver A

Starting pay $27.00/hr Position Summary Description: Drives containers to and from the port of Los Angeles.

Daily truck inspection and maintenance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Is available to work between the hours of 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Hauls full and empty containers between HPL and the Port of Los Angeles. Moves containers around the HPL yard as needed. Performs daily inspection of truck, and general maintenance, including fueling and cleaning.

Follows all federal and state driver guidelines. Performs similar and related duties as required by Supervisor. Uses the Company's Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as their guiding principles.

Qualifications: Education/Training and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have at least one year of driving experience and be familiar with local roadways, and townships within the route area. Must be able to read road signs, building numbers, and maps.

Port experience is required Communication Skills Must be proficient in the English language. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with route customers, co-workers, and supervisors. Other Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (PUC Card) TWIC Card Clean Traffic Abstract Forklift Certification CDL Driver applicants are required to submit a copy of their Driver History Record with their application if selected.

Driver History Record must have been issued within the past 30 days from date of application. Candidates will not be considered without this form.
