Role Summary:

The Houston, Mexico & Central America (MCA) Communications Leader is responsible for designing and executing a communications strategy and plan for Baker Hughes in target markets. In partnership with senior business leaders, he/she will oversee communications activities to support the achievement of business targets and strengthen positioning of Baker Hughes as an energy technology company. This communicator will also manage communications for Houston, a company headquarters.

This role reports functionally to the Enterprise & HQ Communications Manager and responds operationally to the Mexico & Central America region Vice President.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication plan for Houston, Mexico & Central America.

  • Counsel senior region leaders and key personnel on contemporary communications techniques.

  • Shape thought leadership strategy in the MCA region by identifying and preparing leaders to present at relevant forums and external engagements.

  • Lead proactive and reactive media relations for regional matters, working closely with external affairs HQ centre of excellence. Serve as company spokesperson on MCA regional matters and identify and oversee media training of regional spokespeople.

  • Support issues management and lead coordination in times of crisis. Ensure crisis preparedness and programs are aligned with company policies on risk management.

  • Drive storytelling for key commercial activities, such as industry partnerships and contract awards.

  • Build calendar for promotional activities aimed at customer audiences, including company participation in industry conferences and events, proprietary events, and influencer forums. Drive execution in partnership with communications and sales teams.

  • Deliver culture/internal communications for the MCA region.

  • Embed the voice of regional customers into Baker Hughes integrated communications; obtain customer testimonials/endorsements in partnership with sales teams, organize customer participation in proprietary events, surface opportunities for case study development, etc.

  • Mobilize cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes for the MCA region and oversee tactical delivery of activities/campaigns in partnership with communications HQ, product companies, and commercial teams.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish.

  • Bachelor's degree in a communications discipline from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in communications in an international environment

  • Experience in internal, external and crisis communications in a global organization

  • Experience successfully influence stakeholders and teams

  • Ability to absorb, digest and distil highly technical subject matter into clear and concise content for press releases, briefings etc.

  • Strong influencing, writing, and presentation skills with the ability to conceptualize, structure, write, and present compelling stories for a wide range of audiences

  • Ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization from senior level executives to all other employment segments, and effectively manage in a matrixed organization

Role Summary: On a typical day, but not limited to and as a member of the Procurement & Sourcing team, this position is responsible to execute on the sourcing plans and drive opportunities to preferred suppliers, and negotiate cost reductions through alignment with sourcing strategy. This position also implements sourcing plans to effectively manage the sourcing activities related to his/her assigned portfolio in order to maximize supplier performance (cost, quality, lead time) and support the business plan. Sourcing Specialist acts as the key point of contact for designated suppliers to manage the relationship. It is the responsibility of the Sourcing Specialist to adhere to standard BKR OFS Sourcing processes. This position is part of the Operations Supply Chain organization. Essential Responsibilities: * Execute region sourcing plans that secure supply and minimize disruptions, in accordance with category sourcing strategies and Product Line requirements. * Selects suppliers in accordance with preferred suppliers defined by Region Category Managers. * Evaluates suppliers through supplier reviews, site visits and audits to assure supply capabilities, on-time delivery, quality and service for existing as well as new suppliers. * Execute deflation initiatives, manage contracts leakage and negotiate payment terms. * Work closely with Region Category * Leader on sourcing category strategy, supplier negotiations, supplier selection, supplier approval, supplier onboarding, etc. * Conducts RFx and bidding processes for dollar value greater than $10K minimizing risk and maximizing value in terms of quality, delivery and cost. * Manages supplier relationship with Regional & Local suppliers. * Effectively communicates with and maintains the highest degree of relations between the Company and all levels of supplier personnel.
