As part of the Rental Assistance team, the Housing Representative
~If you have worked in customer service in fast paced environments that require strong attention to detail and good time management skills, then this job is for you!
~If you have worked in banking, rental assistance, at a front desk or performing quality and compliance work that requires strong attention to detail this job is for you!
Training will be provided to candidates that have the willingness to learn and make a difference in peoples lives.
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, timeliness and accuracy are skills essential to this position.
Good attention to detail.
Strong sense of urgency and time management skills.
Ability to multitask efficiently.
Familiarity with computers and data entry
Prior related experience preferred
Desire to work with low income, culturally diverse, and at-risk families and individuals.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Bi-lingual skills (English/Spanish or English/Khmer) preferred.
Familiarity with housing regulations is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
Communicate with clients by telephone, email or in person to provide information about services available or to handle any concerns.
Screen client inquiries for eligibility.
Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve client concerns:
Re-certifications/Lease-ups
Annual and interim income adjustments
Changes in family composition/Change of address
Move-outs/Transfers/Inspections
Maintaining client caseload as well as appropriate documentation ensuring compliance with program regulations.
Explain program requirements, regulations and procedures to applicants, participants and owners.
