Description
YWCA Dayton, a 24 hours organization dedicated to the elimination of racism and the empowerment of women, seeks an energetic, dedicated person to be an integral part of our team. As a non-Exempt level position, the Housing Manager is passionate about "Making a Difference" in the lives of all within our community. This position is mission oriented and expected to work 40 plus hours weekly with some evenings and weekend activities. This position oversees all housing programs and program compliance while providing necessary support to the housing team while supporting the vision, mission and values of YWCA Dayton.
The Housing Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest quality housing services are provided consistently and efficiently and best practices are upheld in the following programs: Rapid Rehousing, Permanent Supportive Housing, and Transitional Housing; they ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, fair housing laws, state landlord and tenant laws, and LIHTC section 42 rules; ensures operations are within HUD guidelines and communicates directly with owners in resolution of management issues; ensures compliance with housing contracts and grants; responds promptly to housing notifications from the county, GDPM and other housing agencies; provides supervision to the housing team and fosters a safe and positive work environment; generates and maintains required records, reports and statistical data for programs and ensures that supervisees comply with agency policy and procedures; contributes to reviewing and updating policies and procedures for the agency; and represents YWCA Dayton at relevant local and state meetings.

Leadership: Demonstrated relationship building, decision quality, managing conflict and driving engagement; ensuring accountability and following through on commitments.
Effective Communication: High-level written and oral presentation skills, with an ability to relate to diverse groups and stakeholders; demonstrated interpersonal savviness with strong moral and ethical values towards the mission of the organization.
Mission Understanding: Demonstrated ability to drive vision and purpose with a deep understanding and commitment to YWCA USA and YWCA Dayton's mission, vision, history, and programs, demonstrated core values; responsive to the needs and requests of clients, residents, staff and Board of Directors with a willingness to collaborate and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Business Acumen: Demonstrated knowledge of fair housing, income-based housing programs, and HUD regulations; understanding of racial equity, social justice issues, providing services to disenfranchised, marginalized communities with a demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of those we serve; expertise in fair housing, low income housing tax credits, public housing, and HUD regulations, understanding of domestic violence, homelessness and residential setting, delivering exceptional customer service, cultivating innovation, and attracting and retaining talent.

This position is in house only Monday
Friday (occasional evening and weekends may be required) and not remote at this time. YWCA Dayton operates 24/7 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts, standard operation hours are 8:00am
