Duties

  • You will plan, organize, and perform work required to ensure proper customer service and compliance with appropriate mandates of the Housing Program.

  • You will receive and process complaints and related investigations concerning residents to leadership.

  • You will process requests for permanent and temporary quarters and review request for accuracy and completeness of data.

  • You will counsel applicants regarding availability, type, size of quarters.

  • You will conduct joint tenant-management walk throughs of quarters to evaluate the cleanliness, maintenance, and habitability of the unit, furnishings, equipment, and facilities.

  • You will prepare draft reports and answers to correspondence, corridnate findings with other team members, and develop recommendations for improvement and/or corrections.

  • You will monitor residents to available quarters, schedules, and conduct inspections.

  • You will monitor maintenance, property management, and service contracts.

  • You will negotiate with both housing residents and management personnel in both public and private sector for problem resolutions.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing customer service and practices related to daily business operations; and performing standard housing functions such as receiving and processing complaints from residents and demonstrating knowledge of acceptable work associated with repairs, maintenance and housekeeping.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:

  • 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree or
  • I have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
