Departmental Objective

The Housing department ensures that student-housing facilities are well maintained, clean and safe for the students of CNU.

Purpose of the Position

This position will ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas by performing various housekeeping tasks.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position

Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning supplies

Skilled in the use of housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaner, buffers, or scrubbing machine

Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs., tolerate frequent bending, stooping, and climbing stairs

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Ability to communicate effectively and to maintain positive relations with faculty, staff and students

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required

Experience: Experience in cleaning methods and cleaning supplies.

Additional Consideration(s)

Education :

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Prior hotel, higher education or similar housekeeping experience. Experience using housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaner, buffers or scrubbing machine.

Salary Information Starting at $28,802, Commensurate with Education and Experience CNU Information Role Code 79071 Conditions of Employment

This is a classified position. New and returning classified employees are required to complete a 12-month probationary period;

Selected candidate must attend 2-day New Employee Orientation Program;

Selected candidate must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time;

Selected candidate must have the ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.;

Selected candidate must have the ability to tolerate frequent bending, stooping, and climbing stairs;
