Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):

  • Organize personnel into housekeeping crews capable of cleaning all guest rooms and other appropriate spaces

  • Execute on inspection program to ensure the maintenance of guest room areas, room cleanliness, sanitation, and standards

  • Keep inventory of closets and storage cages to ensure no shortages or waste exist

  • Respond to guest comments, requests, and complaints

  • Perform daily key and radio inventories

  • Monitor daily productivity of staff and follow-up when standards are not met

  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure all maintenance concerns are handled appropriately

  • Work closely with the Front Desk to ensure guests receive clean rooms in a timely manner

  • Prepare and inspect VIP rooms to ensure standards are maintained

  • Prepare morning/evening work assignments for direct reports

  • Prepare nightly Turndown assignments as needed

  • Maintains records including repairs needed, lost and found items and quality of work completed by Internal Guests

  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English

  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment

  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations for Hazcom training and blood borne pathogens

  • Working knowledge of federal, state, employment, and Health Department regulations

  • Ability to communicate using a telephone, radio, or similar device

  • Ability to use office equipment (i.e., computer, laptop, iPad etc.)

  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management, staff, and co-workers

  • Ability to understand commands, questions, and instructions from supervisors and co-workers

  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions

  • Bilingual preferred

  • Work varied shifts including AM, PM, weekends and holidays

Education:

  • High School education or equivalent. Continuing education in Hospitality Management preferred.

Typical Physical / Mental Demands:

  • Requires mobility

  • Excessive walking and standing

  • Climbing stairs when necessary for inspections

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch

  • Must have good near and far vision

  • Must be able to hear, talk, smell

  • Reaching six (6) to eight (8) feet to tops of showers and closets

  • Pushing or pulling a fully loaded cart weighing twenty-five (25) to thirty (30) pounds

  • Lifting and moving linen bundles and vacuums weighing twenty (20) to thirty (30) pounds

  • Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity

  • Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors

Job Description The role of the Housekeeping Supervisor is to ensure that the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms, public areas, back of house and landings meet Omni four star/four diamond standards. Responsibilities * Inspect the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and public areas * Assign special projects as directed by the Director of Housekeeping. * Report any needed repairs or discrepancies of guest rooms. * Ensure that all Guest Room Attendants have appropriate supplies and linens. * Assist in the cleaning of guest rooms when necessary. * Assist in processing AM and PM room status reports. * Ensure that the Guest Room Attendant's linen cart is neat and well organized. * Ensure that linen closets on guest room floors are completely stocked. * Maintain supply cage stock, neat and clean at all times. * Must have all guest rooms punched in via the phone after completion. * Ensure VIP rooms are inspected ASAP. * Ensure check out/vacated rooms are a priority. * Knowledge of hotel, facilities and events. * To ensure hotel, guest and associates are maintained in a safe and secure environment. Qualifications * Previous housekeeping and/or other relevant hotel experience required. * Able to maintain 4-Diamond level cleanliness standards. * Able to work with management on special projects. * Able to set priorities for your section and provide feedback to others that enhances performance. * Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency. * Ability to work and perform effectively in a fast paced role. * Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance * Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidaysMove, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance.
