The Housekeeper Supervisor II directly supervises 8-15 employees to ensure sanitation standards and to provide a clean and germ-free environment. Establish assigned area workloads and assign personnel to specified areas.

This position will contribute and implement ideas of creativity and innovation to improve efficiency and streamline budget saving efforts. Job responsibilities include the following:

  • Conduct sanitation inspections of assigned areas to ensure these areas meet sanitation standards.

  • Investigate complaints or problems and take appropriate action to correct sanitation and housekeeping issues.

  • Manage and track personnel functions for employees.

  • Responsible for equipment upkeep and for maintaining a sufficient inventory of housekeeping supplies.

  • Collect and provide necessary data to housekeeping manager.

Salary Grade: GN04

Recruitment Range: $31,200.00 - $40,450.00

Work Location: Environmental Services

Work Hours: Monday

  • Friday; 6:30 a.m.

  • 3:00 p.m. (Rotating weekends)

  • Considerable knowledge of cleaning procedures, products and equipment used in housekeeping operations.

  • Ability to supervise a large group of employees in a variety of housekeeping functions.

  • Ability to judge supply needs in maintaining an established stock level.

Management Preference:

Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and three years of experience in the area assigned, including one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Degrees must be from appropriately accredited colleges or universities.
